Felina is the daughter of Mita, my orphan, and has been part of my life and her herd since the moment she was born 21 years ago. When Mita foaled, she introduced me to Felina as “Grandma,” a role I have held ever since.

Felina’s nature is exceptionally gentle. She was the young horse trusted to carry my granddaughter and the one who stood perfectly still while babies and small children climbed beneath her, hugging her legs with three-year-old enthusiasm. Her patience and attentiveness have always been unwavering.

Felina has been willing and obedient from the very beginning. Completely trustworthy and deeply trusting, she loves being called upon to help. She is finely attuned to human nature and brings a quiet steadiness to this work. She meets people with kindness, sensitivity, and an innate understanding of connection.
